[School-nurse] Nurses office Traffic

I think we all have that problem.  Unless it is an obvious emergency, I
won't even talk to the student unless they have a pass from their
teacher.  I found I was being used as an excuse to be late for class as
much as an excuse to get out of class.  I emailed all my teachers and
told them the problems I was having with my being used as a student's
excuse when they were going to be late to class and also my problem with
'frequent flyers' and told them I would not see a student without a pass
from them and asked them for their help in keeping the students in
class.  If a student came in between classes I told them to go to class
and get a pass and then I would see him/her - 90% of the time they would
ask me for a pass since he/she was 'late' and, of course, I would tell
them I couldn't do that - then that student would have to pay the
consequences of being tardy to class - has cut down on my needless
traffic a lot.

Hey Ladies,   Do any of you have any type of plan that helps keep
traffic down in your office.  By that I mean the same kids coming in
every day.  If I thought they were truly sick that would be one thing,
but I'm talking about the kids who come in everyday just to get out of
class?  Would love to hear some ideals.
