Sandy,
Teachers in LRSD have a higher starting salary and a higher top out
salary. Not all of our nurse have BSN or 4 year degrees as teachers do.
LRSD starting salary is $30,996 for nurses and $33,000 for teachers.
Nurses top out after 20 years with $54,660. LRSD nurses work 192 days.
We only give credit for up to 7 years experience. Teachers and
secretaries can bring in 11 years. Salaries for nurse in Little Rock are
higher than other parts of the state so it's hard to fill positions here
even with these higher salaries. Hope this helps. 
Our nurses are on a "clinical scale".

Hello,
	I am Sandy Williams RN, I have been a school nurse in the Rogers

School District for 15 years.  I am interested in knowing the districts
who pay 
their nurses the same salary scale as the teachers.  I am also,
interested in 
your highest step on your scale and the salary of that step.  As I have
look at 
a few school websites it seems that our salary is behind many in the
state.  
Our teachers are paid some of the highest salaries in the state but our 
nurses salaries our last step in behind many.

I would appreciate any information.
